Welcome!

We invite you to enjoy a meal with us, right here in the heart of Historical Brandywine Valley.

Our History

The tavern area was built in the 1820’s. Its delights have served as inspiration for many local artists, musicians and poets. The fireplace has kept friends & families warm on cold winter nights across the generations. In each room of the restaurant, you will find a cozy comfortable atmosphere. Tiffany lamps illuminate the Amish-made handcrafted booths and tables. Paintings by the Brandywine Valley’s most gifted artists hang on the walls. From tavern to speakeasy, this old building has seen it all. But, it wasn’t until 1968 when Tom Drane purchased the property and saved the Chadds Ford Tavern. After 42 magnificent years, Tom has graciously handed down the legacy of the Tavern to the next generation.
Now, Ozzie and Danielle are entrusted with keeping this small part of our nation's history alive.

Our establishment has a great reputation among the locals for providing great food at an affordable price. Everything on the menu is made fresh daily of the finest ingredients and made “to order.” Therefore, we ask that you take this time to unwind from the day’s demands and allow us to cater to you.

The cozy, comfortable atmosphere, along with warm, friendly service is sure to make your dining experience most memorable.
